TANZIM AL-LISSAN – AN ORGANIZATION FOR EDUCATION OF SPECIAL CHILDREN i.e. DEAF & DUMB.

On 25th May 2010, Mr. Tahir Hussain Commissioner Faisalabad, Major Retd. Shahnawaz-ul-Hassan Chairman Pasban IT Group, Dr. Zafar Iqbal Bajwa Director Punjab Welfare Trust for Disabled, Mr. Shahid Razzaq Sikka, Major Retd. Shaukat Nawaz Bajwa, Saith Iftkhar Ahmad and Mr. Shabbir Ahmad participated in the Annual Prize Distribution Function and each one donated 100,000 rupees for the education of these children.

It is estimated that about 2,500,000 children are special children i.e. to make it very clear I would say deaf & dumb. All government and private institutes have accommodated 37,000 such children. Remaining children has no place to go, rather no hope for them. This is a very alarming situation. Seeing great problem in this field, Tanzim Al-Lissan institution was formed in 1996 and it established schools for special children under the name of DANISH SCHOOL and AL-MASOOM SCHOOL. Now 15 such centres are working in and around Faisalabad. Four Physiotherapy Centres, seven Vocational Centres, one Speech Therapy centre and one Audiology Centre are working under this organization. Presently 1173 children have been enrolled and only 308 of them are paying some fees, remaining 865 special children are awaiting adoption and donation from philanthropists from, Faisalabad, Pakistan and around The World.
